Israel Adesanya becomes the 2nd African-born champion in UFC history, joining current UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, who won the belt last year, making two Nigerians champions winning within a year.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>Isreal Adesanya and Kelvin Gastelum entered the octagon for one of the most incredible UFC title fights in recent history. Once the bell rang, it was obvious that this fight was not for the faint-hearted. Adesanya, born in Nigeria and living in New Zealand, showcased an impressive display of different strikes with an absolutely precise technique in his arsenal throughout five rounds. In an extremely impressive accomplishment, Isreal Adesanya became a middleweight champion just 14 months into his UFC debut. Isreal Adesanya&#8217;s win showed why boxing isn&#8217;t just physical but also mental\u2014and that grit and hard work will always be rewarded no matter how long it may take. A mini classic was added to the canon of memorable fights thanks to Isreal&#8217;s clear victory! In a decisive fight, Isreal stepped into the octagon with Kelvin Gastelum and showed his character staying resilient for five grueling rounds. Isreal demonstrated superior technique, skill, and conditioning &#8211; against what many would consider an &#8220;unbeatable&#8221; opponent &#8211; to win out by unanimous decision.
