Billboard magazine ranked her as the top R&amp;B recording artist from 2000\u2013to 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The multi-time Grammy winner&#8217;s early life was not all green and rosy. She was raised by only her mum since her dad left when she was only two. But due to her love and talent for music, she was able to achieve great heights. The African Giant Alicia Keys wrote her first song in honor of her late grandfather at only 12 yrs old. Her 2014 \u2018Tears for Water\u2019 made her a New York Times bestseller in 2005. Her 2016 track \u201cIn Common\u201d made no 1 on Billboard\u2019s Dance Club Songs chart<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She sang alongside Spanish recording artist Alejandro Sanz, in \u201cLooking for Paradise\u201d. The song topped the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart, making her the first African-American of non-Hispanic origin to reach no 1 on the Hot Latin Tracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alicia Keys 2019 single \u201cShow Me Love\u201d featured Miguel in the track.
