A Nigerian – American 10yrs old child genius, an African Giant<\/a> Tanitoluwa Emmanuel Adewumi is a chess player who currently holds the title of National Chess Master at a tender age.<\/div>\n

Recall in 2019, Africa Giant reported on 8-years-old Chess Champ Tanitoluwa Adewumi<\/a> who fled with his family of four, including himself and his brother from Northern Nigeria to the United States due to Boko haram attacks in his hometown in 2017.<\/div>\n

Born to Kayode James Adewumi and Oluwatoyin Kuburat Adewumi, the USCF National Master holder <\/span>and his family have been leaving in a homeless shelter in Manhattan, United States. Tani took interest in Chess and started playing it in 2018. In 2019, he made an incredible feat by winning the New York State Chess Championship at only 8 years old<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

This former homeless chap’s achievement has sparked positive reactions worldwide.<\/div>\n
The former US president Bill Clinton<\/a> invited him to visit him in his office in Harlem,\u00a0 New York, and he did. Abike Dabiri, Senior Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora to Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, called him “a pride to the nation”.<\/div>\n

Agadmator, a leading YouTube chess streamer, published an analysis of Adewumi’s only available game from the tournament. Garry Kasparov, former World Chess Champion, has also praised Tanitoluwa.<\/div>\n
