He won awards and accolades from some of the most prestigious institutions in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Arthur Zang\u2019s Cardio-Pad has put him at the forefront of young African innovators. The Cardio-Pad allows users to monitor their heart rate, blood pressure and other health metrics, and has won Arthur plaudits and prizes in his home country and as far away as the United States. Forbes magazine described him as \u201can example of African innovation at its finest<\/a>\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Royal Academy of Engineering in London was so impressed with Arthur\u2019s invention that they honoured him with a prestigious award<\/a>, the Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation, an amount of \u00a325,000 ($37,000) prize in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Cardio-Pad went on sale in January 2016, with the potential to enable heart examinations across Cameroon, a sprawling country of 22 million citizens and only 50 cardiologists, almost all based in the two main cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
